Description
To create soft and fluffy Air Fryer Garlic Herb Dinner Rolls, you will need active dry yeast, warm milk measured carefully at three-quarters of a cup to activate the yeast properly, sugar to feed the yeast and add subtle sweetness, melted butter or olive oil for richness, one large egg at room temperature to enrich the dough, all-purpose flour for structure, and salt to balance the flavors.
Ingredients
Rolls
2¼ tsp active dry yeast (1 packet)
¾ cup warm milk (110°F / 43°C)
2 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp melted butter (or olive oil)
1 large egg, room temperature
2¼ cups all-purpose flour
¾ tsp salt
Garlic Herb Butter
3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
1 tsp garlic, finely minced
1 tsp chopped parsley
½ tsp dried Italian herbs (or rosemary/thyme)
Pinch of salt
Instructions
1. Make the Dough
In a bowl, mix warm milk, yeast, and sugar. Let sit 5–10 minutes until foamy.
Stir in melted butter and egg.
Add flour and salt; mix until a soft dough forms.
Knead 5–6 minutes (by hand or mixer) until smooth and elastic.
Cover and let rise 45–60 minutes, until doubled.
2. Shape the Rolls
Divide dough into 6–8 equal pieces.
Shape into smooth balls.
Place rolls in a parchment-lined or lightly greased air fryer basket, slightly touching.
3. Second Rise
Cover loosely and let rise 20–30 minutes until puffy.
4. Air Fry
Preheat air fryer to 330°F (165°C) for 3 minutes.
Air fry rolls 8–10 minutes, until golden brown on top and cooked through.
If browning too quickly, loosely cover with foil.
5. Garlic Herb Finish
Mix all garlic herb butter ingredients.
Brush generously over warm rolls.
Serve immediately.
