  • Author: David Andersson
  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Diet: Vegetarian

Description

The Blueberry Cheesecake Croissant Bombs are a sweet pastry that consists of a flaky crescent roll dough filled with a creamy cheesecake mixture and topped with fresh blueberries and blueberry jam. These bomb-like pastries are then baked to perfection, resulting in a golden, crispy exterior with a soft, gooey interior filled with sweet cream cheese and blueberry goodness. They are perfect for breakfast, brunch, or even as a dessert after dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough

  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened

  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar

  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1/2 cup fresh or frozen blueberries

  • 1/4 cup blueberry jam or preserves

  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. Make the Cheesecake Filling:
    • In a small bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  3. Prepare the Dough:
    • Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into 8 triangles.
  4. Assemble the Croissant Bombs:
    • Place about 1 teaspoon of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each triangle.
    • Add a few blueberries and a small dollop (about 1/2 teaspoon) of blueberry jam on top of the cream cheese mixture.
    • Fold the edges of the dough over the filling, pinching to seal and form a small ball. Make sure there are no gaps so the filling doesn’t leak out during baking.
  5. Apply the Egg Wash:
    • Place the sealed croissant bombs on the prepared baking sheet. Brush each one with the beaten egg to give them a golden, shiny finish.
  6. Bake:
    • Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the croissant bombs are golden brown and puffed.
  7. Cool and Garnish:
    • Allow the croissant bombs to cool slightly before dusting them with powdered sugar.
  8. Serve and Enjoy:
    • Serve warm or at room temperature. These are perfect on their own or paired with a cup of coffee or tea.

Notes

These buttery, flaky bites are filled with luscious cheesecake and juicy blueberries—perfect for breakfast, brunch, or dessert. Serve warm with a dusting of powdered sugar or a drizzle of glaze for an extra indulgent touch!
