  • 2 (3.9 oz/110g) packages instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 3 cups (720ml) cold milk

For the Whipped Topping Layer:

  • 2 cups (480ml) whipped topping (or homemade whipped cream)

For the Garnish:

  • 1/4 cup (40g) mini chocolate chips or grated chocolate
  • Chocolate syrup drizzle (optional)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Chocolate Crust:

  1. Crush the chocolate sandwich cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor or by placing them in a zip-top bag and crushing them with a rolling pin.
  2. Mix the cookie crumbs with the melted butter until well combined.
  3. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9×13-inch (23x33cm) baking dish to form an even crust.
  4. Chill the crust in the refrigerator while preparing the layers.

2. Make the Cream Cheese Layer:

  1. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and creamy.
  2. Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, and mix until well combined.
  3. Fold in the whipped topping gently until smooth.
  4. Spread this layer evenly over the chilled crust.

3. Prepare the Chocolate Pudding Layer:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the instant chocolate pudding mix and cold milk until thickened (about 2-3 minutes).
  2. Spread the pudding layer evenly over the cream cheese layer.

4. Add the Whipped Topping Layer:

  1. Spread the whipped topping evenly over the chocolate pudding layer, smoothing it with a spatula.

5. Garnish and Chill:

  1. Sprinkle mini chocolate chips or grated chocolate over the top for garnish.
  2. Drizzle chocolate syrup over the top for extra indulgence (optional).
