Instructions

  • Prep

    • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C)

    • Grease or line a 9×5 loaf pan

  • Mix Dry Ingredients

    • In a bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.

  • Mix Wet Ingredients

    • In another bowl, whisk sugar, oil, eggs, milk, and vanilla until smooth.

  • Combine

    • Gently mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients just until combined.

    • Don’t overmix—this keeps it soft!

  • Create the Swirl

    • Mix cinnamon and sugar for the swirl.

    • Pour half the batter into the loaf pan.

    • Sprinkle half the cinnamon sugar on top.

    • Add remaining batter and sprinkle the rest of the cinnamon sugar.

    • Lightly swirl with a knife.

  • Bake

    • Bake for 45–55 minutes, until a toothpick comes out mostly clean.

    • Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes.

  • Churro Finish

    • Brush the warm loaf with melted butter.

    • Mix cinnamon + sugar and generously sprinkle over the top.
