Description

An inviting platter of Deviled Egg Christmas Trees with a vibrant green filling piped into tree-like shapes, garnished with red pepper pieces as ornaments and a star-shaped cheese topper. These festive appetizers are a creative twist on the classic deviled egg, ideal for adding a touch of holiday cheer to your table.

6 large eggs, hard-boiled and peeled
2 tbsp mayonnaise
1 tsp Dijon mustard
1 tsp white vinegar
Salt and pepper, to taste
Green food coloring
½ cup guacamole (optional, for enhanced green color and flavor)
Finely chopped chives (for garnish)
Red bell pepper, finely diced (for decorations)
Small star-shaped cutouts from yellow cheese


Instructions

Slice each hard-boiled egg in half lengthwise and carefully remove the yolks into a mixing bowl. Place the egg whites aside.
Mash the yolks with a fork until smooth. Add mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, white vinegar, salt, and pepper. Mix well until creamy.
If desired, add guacamole to enhance the green color and flavor. Gradually mix in green food coloring until you achieve the desired festive green shade.
Fill a piping bag fitted with a star tip or round tip with the yolk mixture. Pipe the mixture into the egg whites, piling it high to form a tree-like shape.
Sprinkle the deviled eggs with finely chopped chives to mimic pine needles.
Decorate with diced red bell peppers as ornaments and top each “tree” with a small star-shaped cheese cutout.
Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
