Description

Fudgy Almond Flour Brownies are a healthier twist on the classic brownie. Instead of traditional all-purpose flour, almond flour is used, which provides a rich, nutty flavor and keeps the brownies naturally gluten-free. The result? A moist, dense, and fudgy texture that will melt in your mouth, with all the indulgence of a classic chocolate brownie but with a cleaner ingredient list.

  • ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter (or coconut oil for dairy-free)

  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (or chopped dark chocolate)

  • ¾ cup granulated sugar (or coconut sugar for unrefined)

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • ½ cup almond flour

  • ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder

  • ¼ tsp salt

Optional Add-Ins:

  • ½ cup chopped walnuts, pecans, or extra chocolate chips

  • Sprinkle of flaky sea salt on top


Instructions

1️⃣ Preheat & Prep

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving a little overhang for easy removal.


2️⃣ Melt Chocolate & Butter

In a medium saucepan (or microwave-safe bowl), melt butter and chocolate chips together over low heat, stirring until smooth.
Let cool slightly (about 3 minutes).


3️⃣ Whisk Wet Ingredients

Whisk in sugar, then eggs and vanilla, one at a time, until glossy and thick.


4️⃣ Add Dry Ingredients

Sift in almond flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
Stir gently until just combined — don’t overmix.
Fold in any optional nuts or extra chocolate chips.


5️⃣ Bake

Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan.
Bake for 20–25 minutes, until the top is set but the center still looks slightly moist.
(A toothpick should come out with a few fudgy crumbs.)


6️⃣ Cool & Serve

Let brownies cool completely in the pan before slicing (for clean edges, chill for 20 minutes first).
Top with flaky sea salt if desired.

Notes

For an indulgent twist, top the brownies with a sprinkle of sea salt or drizzle melted dark chocolate before serving. You can also fold in chopped nuts or chocolate chips for extra texture and richness.
