Ingredients

Instructions
Preheat Oven
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.Make the Dough
In a large bowl, cream together butter and both sugars until light and fluffy (2–3 minutes).
Beat in eggs and vanilla.Combine Dry Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
Gradually add to wet ingredients until just combined.Add Chocolate Chips
Fold in chocolate chips.Color the Dough (Optional)
Divide the dough into separate bowls and add food coloring — green, purple, and orange are perfect for Halloween monsters! Mix until evenly colored.Form Cookies
Scoop tablespoon-sized balls onto baking sheets. Leave space between cookies as they spread.Bake
Bake for 9–11 minutes, until edges are lightly golden but centers are soft.Add Eyes!
Immediately press candy eyeballs onto the cookies while they’re still warm (they’ll stick as the cookies cool).Cool & Serve
