Description
A Spiced Apple Cider Punch is a celebratory beverage that elevates standard apple cider into a multi-layered flavor experience. Unlike basic apple juice, which is filtered and pasteurized until clear, true apple cider is raw, unfiltered, and carries the robust essence of the whole fruit. By taking this base and infusing it with citrus juices, natural sweeteners, and a bouquet of whole spices, you create a punch that is far more sophisticated than the sum of its parts.
Ingredients
8 cups (2 L) apple cider (not apple juice)
2 cups (480 ml) orange juice (fresh if possible)
1 orange, thinly sliced
2 cinnamon sticks
4 whole cloves
2 star anise (optional but lovely)
1 tsp fresh ginger, sliced (or ½ tsp ground)
¼ cup (60 ml) maple syrup or honey (adjust to taste)
Optional Add-Ins
1 cup cranberry juice (for color and tartness)
Sparkling water or ginger ale (to lighten)
Alcoholic option: dark rum, bourbon, or spiced rum
