Description

Spiced oat and raisin cookies are a variation of the classic oatmeal raisin cookie. What sets this recipe apart is the addition of warm, aromatic spices that enhance the flavor and bring a comforting richness to each bite. These cookies combine old-fashioned rolled oats, raisins, and a blend of cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and cloves to create a perfectly spiced treat. With a chewy texture and the occasional crunch from walnuts, these cookies are a must-try for anyone who loves homemade baked goods.

  4. Combine Wet and Dry
    • Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined
    • Fold in raisins and nuts (if using)
  5. Shape and Bake

  6. Cool
    • Let cookies cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes
    • Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely

Notes

For an extra touch, try adding a handful of chopped nuts or dark chocolate chips to the dough. These cookies also taste amazing slightly warm with a cup of tea or coffee. Store in an airtight container to keep them soft and chewy for days.
