Description

Watermelon Popsicles are a type of frozen dessert made primarily from watermelon, one of the most hydrating and sweet fruits available. These popsicles are typically made by blending fresh watermelon with a touch of sweetness like honey or agave syrup, then freezing the mixture in molds. You can add a hint of lime juice for extra flavor, or even garnish the popsicles with mint leaves for a beautiful and refreshing touch.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups seedless watermelon, cubed
  • 12 tablespoons honey or agave syrup (optional, adjust for sweetness)
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice (optional, for added flavor)
  • Mint leaves (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Watermelon:
    • Cut the watermelon into cubes and remove any seeds if necessary.
  2. Blend the Watermelon:
    • Place the watermelon cubes in a blender. If desired, add honey or agave syrup and lime juice.
    • Blend until smooth. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.
  3. Pour into Molds:
    • Pour the watermelon puree into popsicle molds, leaving a little space at the top for expansion.
  4. Insert Sticks:
    • Place popsicle sticks into the molds. If your molds allow, you can insert them after about an hour of freezing when the mixture has slightly thickened.
  5. Freeze:
    • Freeze for at least 4-6 hours, or until completely solid.
  6. Unmold and Serve:
    • To remove the popsicles, run warm water over the outside of the molds for a few seconds.
    • Gently pull the popsicles out and serve immediately. Garnish with mint leaves if desired.

Notes

For a fun twist, add a handful of chopped mint or a squeeze of lime juice before blending. You can also mix in a few whole blueberries or kiwi slices for extra color, flavor, and texture. Perfect for hot summer days!
