Air Fryer Halal Bacon, Egg and Cheese Biscuit Bites

  • Author: David Andersson
  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 8 biscuit bites 1x
  • Diet: Halal

Description

These air fryer halal bacon egg and cheese biscuit bites are individual handheld breakfast dough pockets stuffed with classic breakfast staples. Instead of assembling a traditional open sandwich, you wrap cooked halal bacon bits, soft scrambled eggs, and shredded cheddar cheese inside flattened canned biscuit dough. Once sealed into small balls, the stuffed dough pockets are air-fried until puffed and golden brown.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 4 large eggs
  • 4 slices halal-certified beef or turkey bacon, cooked and chopped
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives or green onions, optional
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

Cook the Bacon

Cook the halal bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crisp. Transfer it to a paper towel-lined plate and let it cool slightly before chopping into small pieces.

Prepare the Eggs

Whisk the eggs, milk, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder together in a bowl. Melt the butter in a skillet over medium-low heat and add the egg mixture.

Cook gently, stirring occasionally, until the eggs are softly scrambled. Avoid overcooking because they will continue cooking inside the biscuit bites.

Prepare the Biscuit Dough

Separate the biscuit dough into individual portions. Flatten each piece gently with your fingers or a rolling pin to create enough space for the filling.

Fill the Biscuit Bites

Place a small amount of scrambled egg in the center of each flattened biscuit. Add chopped halal bacon and shredded cheddar cheese.

Carefully pull the edges of the dough toward the center and pinch them together to completely seal the filling inside.

Air Fry

Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for a few minutes. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.

Place the biscuit bites into the basket with some space between each one. Air fry for approximately 8–10 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown and cooked through.

Depending on the size and model of your air fryer, you may need an additional minute or two.

Serve

Allow the bites to cool for a couple of minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped chives or green onions if desired.

Notes

Always use halal-certified bacon and check the biscuit dough and cheese ingredients if you need the entire recipe to be halal. For the best texture, don’t overfill the biscuit dough, and make sure each bite is sealed well before air frying.
