Description
When you hear the word nachos, your mind probably jumps straight to corn chips, melted cheese, and jalapeños. While the savory version is a classic, Apple Nachos with Peanut Butter Drizzle is the fruit-based reimagining of that concept. Instead of salty chips, we use crisp, cold apple slices as the sturdy base. Instead of heavy cheese sauce, we use a warm, silky peanut butter drizzle that clings to every slice.
Ingredients
- 2–3 apples (any variety like Granny Smith apples or Fuji apples)
- 2–3 tablespoons peanut butter (creamy or crunchy)
- 1–2 teaspoons honey or maple syrup (optional, for extra sweetness)
- 2 tablespoons chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons granola
- 1 tablespoon chopped nuts (like almonds or walnuts)
- Optional toppings: shredded coconut, raisins, mini marshmallows
Instructions
- Slice the apples
Wash and core the apples, then slice them into thin wedges or rounds. Arrange them on a plate like nachos. - Prepare the peanut butter drizzle
Warm the peanut butter slightly (microwave for ~15–20 seconds) until it’s smooth and easy to drizzle. Stir in honey or maple syrup if you want it sweeter. - Assemble
Drizzle the peanut butter over the apple slices. - Add toppings
Sprinkle chocolate chips, granola, chopped nuts, and any extra toppings you like. - Serve immediately
Best enjoyed fresh before the apples brown.
