Description
At its heart, this recipe is a modern, accessible take on the traditional Korean practice of “ssam,” which literally translates to “wrapped.” In Korean cuisine, it is very common to take a piece of grilled meat, add a bit of sauce or a slice of garlic, and wrap it tightly in a leafy green. This specific version focuses on a ground or thinly sliced beef preparation that is infused with a rich marinade of soy, ginger, and garlic.

- 1 tsp sesame seeds
- 2 green onions, chopped
For serving:
- 1 head of butter or romaine lettuce (leaves separated)
- Shredded carrots (optional)
