Ultimate Carbonara Buldak Ramen Recipe Guide

  • Author: David Andersson
  • Total Time: 15 minutes
  • Yield: 1 serving 1x

Description

The carbonara buldak ramen recipe is an upgraded home-cooked take on South Korea’s massively famous Samyang Hot Chicken Flavor Ramen Carbonara. “Buldak” literally translates from Korean to “fire chicken,” referring to the intense, fiery chili sauce that defines the signature noodle series.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pack Samyang Buldak Carbonara Ramen
  • 1 cup (240 ml) water
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream or whole milk
  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg (fried, poached, or soft-boiled)
  • 1 slice halal turkey bacon or beef bacon, cooked and chopped (optional)
  • 1 tsp minced garlic (optional)
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley or green onions
  • Extra mozzarella cheese (optional, for extra creaminess)
  • Black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • Bring the water to a boil and cook the ramen noodles for 4–5 minutes until tender.
  • Reserve about 2 tablespoons of the cooking water, then drain the rest.
  • Return the noodles to the pan over low heat.
  • Add the butter, heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, the reserved cooking water, the liquid sauce packet, and the carbonara powder packet. Stir until the sauce becomes smooth and creamy.
  • If using, stir in the minced garlic and chopped halal turkey or beef bacon.
  • Transfer the ramen to a serving bowl.
  • Top with the cooked egg, a sprinkle of parsley or green onions, extra Parmesan, black pepper, and mozzarella if desired.
  • Serve immediately while hot and creamy.

Notes

This ramen is best enjoyed fresh. If you have leftovers, refrigerate them in an airtight container for up to 1 day and reheat gently with a splash of milk or water to restore the creamy sauce.
