Description
At its heart, the Chai Eggnog Latte Recipe represents a brilliant fusion of three beloved beverage worlds: traditional spiced black tea, classic holiday eggnog, and bold espresso coffee. While standard coffee shop lattes simply combine espresso with frothed whole milk, this recipe elevates the entire structure by replacing standard milk with a balanced blend of brewed chai tea and rich eggnog.
Ingredients
-
120 ml (½ cup) eggnog
-
120 ml (½ cup) water
-
1 chai tea bag or 1 teaspoon loose-leaf chai tea
-
30 ml (1 oz) espresso or 60 ml strong brewed coffee
-
¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
-
A pinch of ground nutmeg
-
1–2 teaspoons sugar or honey, optional
-
Whipped cream, for topping (optional)
-
Cinnamon or freshly grated nutmeg, for garnish
Instructions
-
Brew the chai: Heat the water until hot, add the chai tea bag, and steep for 4–5 minutes. Remove the tea bag.
-
Warm the eggnog: In a small saucepan, gently heat the eggnog with the cinnamon and nutmeg. Do not let it boil.
-
Prepare the coffee: Brew the espresso or strong coffee and pour it into a large mug.
-
Combine: Add the brewed chai and warm eggnog to the mug. Stir well and sweeten to taste.
-
Garnish and serve: Top with whipped cream, a sprinkle of cinnamon, or freshly grated nutmeg, if desired. Serve warm.
Notes
Chai Eggnog Latte is best enjoyed freshly prepared while warm. Heat the eggnog gently to maintain its creamy texture and avoid boiling it.
