Description
This recipe combines two comfort foods. It pairs classic Mexican spices with flaky canned biscuits. You press raw biscuit dough into a standard muffin pan. The dough bakes into a small golden bowl.

For the Biscuit Cups
- 1 can (16 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough (8 biscuits)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil or cooking spray
For the Taco Filling
- 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
- 1 small onion, finely diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons taco seasoning
- ½ cup salsa
- ½ teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
For the Cheese Layer
- 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 12-cup muffin tin.
- Separate biscuit dough and press each biscuit into a muffin cup, spreading it up the sides to form a small cup.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add ground beef and onion. Cook until the beef is browned and fully cooked.
- Drain excess grease, then add garlic, taco seasoning, salsa, salt, and pepper. Stir well and cook for another 2–3 minutes.
- Spoon the taco beef mixture evenly into each biscuit cup.
- Top each cup with cheddar and mozzarella cheese.
- Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- Let cool for a few minutes before removing from the muffin tin.
- Add your favorite toppings and serve warm.
