Description
At its core, a christmas tree gin tonic recipe elevates the clean, botanical profile of a traditional gin cocktail into a winter-ready, festive highlight. A standard gin and tonic blends smooth juniper-forward spirit with crisp, carbonated tonic water and a touch of fresh citrus juice. This holiday variation retains that perfectly balanced, effervescent base while introducing fresh pine-scented rosemary, vibrant green lime, and jewel-like red pomegranate arils.
Ingredients
-
50 ml gin
-
150 ml tonic water, chilled
-
15 ml fresh lime juice
-
1–2 fresh rosemary sprigs
-
2 lime slices
-
Ice cubes, as needed
-
Pomegranate seeds, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
1. Prepare the glass
Fill a large balloon glass or gin glass with ice cubes.
2. Add the gin and lime
Pour in the gin and fresh lime juice. Stir gently to combine.
3. Add tonic water
Slowly pour in the chilled tonic water to preserve its bubbles. Stir gently once.
4. Create the Christmas tree
Place a rosemary sprig upright in the glass, trimming it into a triangular tree shape if needed. Add lime slices and a few pomegranate seeds for a festive finish.
Notes
Serve immediately while cold and fizzy. Enjoy responsibly, and keep the garnish decorative rather than using artificial tree decorations in the drink.
