Salt & black pepper, to taste

1 package (5.2 oz) Boursin cheese (Garlic & Fine Herbs flavor recommended)

¼ cup heavy cream (optional for extra creaminess)

½ cup reserved pasta water

Fresh basil, chopped (for garnish)

Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
1. Cook the Pasta

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.

Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente.

Before draining, reserve ½ cup of pasta water. Drain and set aside.
2. Make the Tomato Base

In a large skillet or saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat.

Add shallot and garlic, sauté until fragrant (about 1–2 minutes).

Stir in crushed tomatoes, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes.

Simmer for about 5 minutes until slightly thickened. Season with salt and pepper.
3. Melt in the Boursin

Reduce heat to low and crumble in the Boursin cheese.

Stir until it melts smoothly into the sauce.

Add a splash of pasta water as needed to loosen the texture.

Stir in heavy cream (optional, but luxurious).
4. Combine

Add the cooked pasta to the skillet.

Add more pasta water, a tablespoon at a time, if the sauce is too thick.
