Ingredients
For the Smash Beef
- 500 g ground beef (80/20 preferred)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
For the Rolls
- 6–8 soft dinner rolls or slider buns
- 6–8 slices cheddar or mozzarella cheese
Garlic Parmesan Butter
- 3 tbsp butter (melted)
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp parsley (optional)
- ½ tsp salt
Optional Toppings
- Pickles
- Caramelized onions
- Burger sauce or mayo
Instructions
1. Prepare the Garlic Butter
Mix melted butter with minced garlic, Parmesan, salt, and parsley. Set aside.
2. Smash the Beef
Heat a skillet or griddle on high heat.
Place small balls of ground beef onto the pan and smash them thin using a spatula.
Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
Cook for 2–3 minutes per side until crispy edges form.
3. Melt the Cheese
Place cheese slices over the cooked smash beef and let them melt slightly.
4. Assemble the Rolls
Slice the rolls open and layer:
- Smash beef patty
- Optional pickles or onions
- Extra sauce if desired
5. Garlic Parmesan Finish
Brush garlic Parmesan butter generously over the tops of the rolls.
Sprinkle extra Parmesan if desired.
6. Toast the Rolls
Place assembled rolls in a pan or oven at 180°C (350°F) for 5–7 minutes until warm, golden, and slightly crispy.
