For the salmon & asparagus:
4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz / 170g each, skin-on or skinless)

½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp paprika (optional, for color)
For the lemon butter sauce:
3 tbsp unsalted butter (or ghee for dairy-free)
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp fresh lemon juice (about 1 lemon)
1 tsp lemon zest
2 tbsp chicken broth or dry white wine (optional, for thinning the sauce)
1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions
Prepare the salmon and asparagus:
Pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels.
Season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
Toss asparagus with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
Cook the salmon:
Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add salmon fillets (skin side down if applicable).
Cook about 4–5 minutes per side, until golden and cooked through.
Remove from skillet and set aside on a plate.
Sauté the asparagus:
In the same pan, add asparagus.
Sauté for 4–6 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tender-crisp.
Remove and set aside with the salmon.
Make the lemon butter sauce:
Lower heat to medium. Add butter to the skillet and let it melt.
Stir in garlic and cook for 30 seconds, just until fragrant.
Add lemon juice, zest, and chicken broth/wine.
Simmer 1–2 minutes until slightly reduced.
Taste and adjust seasoning (add salt, pepper, or extra lemon as desired).
Assemble and serve:
Return salmon and asparagus to the pan, spooning sauce over the top.
Sprinkle with fresh parsley and garnish with lemon slices.
