Description
A loaded burger bowl with special sauce (halal beef) is a clever version of a premium cheeseburger. Instead of stacking ingredients between bread, you layer them into a deep bowl. The base begins with a massive bed of fresh, crunchy greens. This mimics the crisp lettuce topping of a great burger. From there, you pile on seasoned ground meat, rich cheese, sharp onions, juicy tomatoes, and tangy pickles.

For the Halal Beef
- 1 lb (450 g) halal ground beef
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp olive oil
For the Bowls
- 6 cups chopped romaine lettuce
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1 cup cucumber, diced
- ½ cup red onion, thinly sliced
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ cup dill pickle slices
- 1 avocado, diced (optional)
For the Special Sauce
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp yellow mustard
- 1 tbsp pickle relish
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp paprika
- 1 tsp white vinegar
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together all the special sauce ingredients. Refrigerate until ready to use.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the halal ground beef and break it apart with a spatula.
- Season with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Cook for 8–10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until browned and fully cooked.
- Divide the chopped lettuce among four serving bowls.
- Top with tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, cheddar cheese, pickles, and avocado if using.
- Spoon the warm seasoned beef over each bowl.
- Drizzle generously with the special sauce.
- Serve immediately and enjoy.
