- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce (halal-friendly)
- ½ cup beef broth
For the Salad
- 6 cups mixed salad greens
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1 cucumber, sliced
- ½ red onion, thinly sliced
- ½ cup corn
- ½ cup shredded carrots
- ¼ cup pickled jalapeños (optional)
- ¼ cup crispy onions or toasted nuts
Smoky Dressing
- ½ cup mayonnaise or Greek yogurt
- 2 tbsp BBQ sauce
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp honey
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Prepare the Brisket
- Pat the brisket dry and coat with olive oil.
- Mix paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, pepper, salt, and brown sugar.
- Rub the seasoning mixture evenly over the brisket.
- Slow cook at 275°F (135°C) for 5–7 hours until tender, or until easily pulled apart.
2. Make Burnt Ends
- Cut cooked brisket into bite-sized cubes.
- Toss with Worcestershire sauce and a little BBQ sauce.
- Return to heat (oven, smoker, or grill) for 20–30 minutes until caramelized and smoky.
3. Prepare the Salad
- Add greens, tomatoes, cucumber, onion, corn, carrots, and jalapeños to a bowl.
- Whisk together all dressing ingredients.
- Toss salad with dressing.
4. Assemble
