- 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 2 tablespoons strawberry syrup
- 1 teaspoon matcha powder
- 2 tablespoons hot water (not boiling)
- 1 cup sparkling water or lemon-lime soda
- ½ cup coconut milk or whole milk
- 1 cup ice cubes
- 1 teaspoon honey or simple syrup (optional)
- Fresh strawberry slices, for garnish
- Mint leaves, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk the matcha powder with the hot water until smooth and frothy. Set aside.
- Divide the sliced strawberries and strawberry syrup between two tall glasses. Gently muddle the strawberries to release their juices.
- Fill each glass with ice cubes.
- Pour the sparkling water or lemon-lime soda into each glass.
- Slowly add the coconut milk or whole milk to create a creamy layer.
- Carefully pour the prepared matcha over the top for a beautiful layered effect.
- Sweeten with honey or simple syrup if desired.
- Garnish with fresh strawberry slices and mint leaves. Stir before drinking and enjoy immediately.
