  • ½ tsp chili powder

  • ½ tsp cumin

  • ¼ tsp smoked paprika (optional)

  • Salt & pepper to taste

  • Optional heat: pinch cayenne or a splash of hot sauce

  • Shredded cabbage or slaw mix

🌮 Creamy Lime Sauce (Optional but recommended!)

  • ¼ cup sour cream or Greek yogurt

Instructions

  1. Marinate shrimp

    • Mix marinade ingredients in a bowl or bag.

    • Add shrimp, toss to coat, and marinate 15–30 minutes max (no longer or the lime will start to “cook” the shrimp).

  2. Make sauce

    • Whisk sauce ingredients until smooth. Chill until serving.

  3. Cook shrimp

    • Heat a skillet or grill to medium-high.

    • Cook shrimp 1½–2 minutes per side until pink & slightly charred.

    • Optional: splash a bit more tequila in at the end to flame/sizzle.

  4. Warm tortillas

    • On a skillet, open flame, or wrapped in foil in oven.

  5. Assemble tacos

    • Layer cabbage → shrimp → avocado → sauce → cilantro → squeeze of lime.
