Description
At its core, this recipe is a fusion dish that bridges the gap between health-conscious meal prepping and high-end pastry flavors. Traditional tiramisu relies on ladyfingers soaked in coffee, layered with a rich mascarpone cream. In this modern iteration, we replace the heavy cake layers with fiber-rich rolled oats that have been soaked in a coffee-infused milk mixture.
Ingredients
Oat Layer
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup milk (dairy or plant-based)
- 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
- 1–2 tbsp honey or maple syrup
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1–2 tsp instant coffee (dissolved in 1 tbsp warm water)
Cheesecake Layer
- 1/2 cup cream cheese (softened)
- 1/3 cup Greek yogurt
- 2 tbsp powdered sugar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Topping
- Cocoa powder (for dusting)
- Crushed biscuits or ladyfinger crumbs (optional)
Instructions
1. Make the oats base
In a bowl, mix oats, milk, Greek yogurt, honey, vanilla, and coffee mixture.
Stir well, cover, and refrigerate overnight (or at least 4–6 hours).
2. Make cheesecake layer
In another bowl, beat cream cheese, Greek yogurt, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth and creamy.
3. Assemble cups
In serving cups or jars:
- Add a layer of overnight oats
- Add a layer of cheesecake mixture
- Repeat if desired for extra layers
4. Finish
Dust the top with cocoa powder and add crushed biscuits if you like.
Chill for 30 minutes before serving for best texture.
